I don't get the Idea Twigstir.... this is the same map as OffCenterLeftBeta (or whatever that was...) althought this one ihas another name :P Whats the point??? (And the "Right" version is also ununderstandable for me...)

That was a beta. This is the final product.

Right vs Left: The two maps play differently because of the different goal locations.

Now I see... But, u should have made one thread for all :)

Anyways, I think the two maps play the same, but that is only me :) It's just that RightBanana lovers and left banana lovers maybe won't like both :)

Sry but I have to agree with Rens2... althought I have seen some really nice maps from you, he is right... you helped Inphidil in another thread with lots of stuffs about UEd. If u know so much about it... you should sit a bit more on one map, make it really beautiful, and "maybe" (yeah... about 1,1111%) DavidM will like it \o/

Now, that is about the stupidest thing I've ever heard. You have no idea what you are talking about.

A Map can be:

1, Really Lame build (a Cube and a light)
2, Made by Newbie Mapper (a Cube with some detail)
3, Nice Play, But empty walls ( nice looking map, but there is too much undetailed surface)
4, Great Play, Nice Design (Still in the Borders of good FPS, with nice deatails)
5, Nice play, GREAT Design (Fps is a bit lower down, but the game is good, and it plays still good)
6, OMFG GG DESIGN + play (???) (Have anyone seen my fps? its got lost...)

the 6 maps are made by DavidM :)

Which one U (mappers) make... should be decided by yous

I can't seem to access anything from PC Game Mods lately. Whenever I try to access any page of it, it redirects me to this useless web search page before it even loads. Is anyone else encountering this? I tried deleting my cookies, but it made no difference.
:hmmmz:

EDIT: It's really important that I sort this out so that I can download the most up-to-date versions of any maps I planned to review, and this is crucial because time is running out.

Deathball itself under-performs UT2003. The very nature of how deathball is played limits what you can do. Everything you do in a map takes a hit on the unreal engine. The smaller the map, the greater the demand for higher FPS for playability. Peoples hardware vary. There are people who play this mod on a 56K modem.

This is a small volley only map with a unique layout that delivers a very fast paced game flow. There is no skybox for a reason. It drops FPS dramatically. I simple test in unrealed will show you the effect it has. This map plays better without it.

Maybe you are right at the skybox... althought i don't have any problems with them (god thx), and I know that some do...

But did u heard of the Worl Detail Option? Maybe that could help to feed both types of players.
