Finally got enough time spared to write another review. Today I'll be taking a look at DBW-Dimension2 by Scotteh.

So what's the map like?
The entire field is basically a large platform floating in space. There are four walls of lasers on the main sides, which you can use to rebound grenades on. However players fall right through them, so with a well placed shot you can knock an enemy player off the field (something that DB-Zodiac seems to have inspired in some DB maps lately). On either side of the field there are multiple platforms, which have ramps and dips all over them. There are a few holes which the players can drop down to reach the base of the platforms, and jump pads so players can get back up. In the center of the map there is sort of raised platform which players can move up to, or underneath. On either end there are a couple superweapons that usually take a couple of turns to reach.

All the player starts are well placed in this map, everybody is accessible but in turn has a number of good shot oppurtunities, provided that the players have a relatively good aim. No one player spawns particularly close to the super weapons, which is a good thing, because nobody should have near immediate access to the super weapons, and trying to get to them should not be without risk.

The gameplay of this map was good, there are very few places where a player is particularly hard to reach, but even then they are still reachable if the shooting oppurtunity is presented to a skilled player.

The visuals are decent in this map. The skybox is very nice, but the choice of textures for the field strikes me as a little bit plain. This isn't really a problem at all, since DBW maps don't really have to be that pretty.

The framerate seemed a little heavy to me, given how little detail you sometimes see at one time. I think some anti-portals could have easily remedied this. Fortunately, this doesn't affect the gameplay at all due to the way DBW works. Framerates shouldn't be an issue for anyone.

Pros
- Well placed spawn points and super weapons.
- Solid gameplay.

Cons
- A bit heavy on the framerate given how little you can see sometimes.

Overall
Graphics 6/10 (by DBW standards)
Gameplay 8/10

This is certainly a fun map, with very good gameplay. It could look a little better, but the gameplay makes up for this. Any regular DBW player should have this in his map folder.
