Tennis and Warfare help

1. I have no idea how to play either of these games. Can someone explain them?
2. I can't "catch on as I play" because the computers don't do anything in either mode. In Tennis, the guy just rund around and when he gets the ball he stands at the corner. In Warfare, no one moves at all, and I can't move either. I don't know if both of these are intentional and I'm not catching on to something, or what.

neither have bot support and must be played online.
