Well... this topic is a bit two sided...

First of all what I am talking about... So in DBL, since the Third league has begun, every team played their matches on Cube... The problem is... that Noone thinks about playing on another map. Just Cube, and allways Cube...

I kinow... Cube has the simplest and best play ( hmz... ) but why the hell are those other good maps there??? Just for the rights of those other maps... I think teams should be forced somehow to play other maps aswell... The "Justandonlycube" effect is also a bad thing, and kills other Maps in DB... I remember the first days of DB, when every map was a huge fun to play... but today... I only see servers with Cube or SC... or Avenir on that Costum map server... althought that map is forced on it

So I think Teams should be forced next season to play those other maps aswell!

But how to be forced? Maybe a random pick for every match on season start, and the two team has to play on that map... or sth like that... Or dunno how... but The maps in DB are dying...

i'd support some sort of map forcing.. maybe make it so u can only select the same map for 4 of the matches or summit? dunno

well, tbh why force ppl to play other maps if they dont want to... If the community wanted to play other maps the home team can choose it, the fact is they dont

You could go like some UT CTF leagues and assign a map to each fixture. So like, everybody's first fixture is played on cube, everybody's second is played on november, everybody's third is played on lego... or so.

A forced map could inject a bit of life back into the stale league. It's hardly a surprise people are getting tired of the game, when they only ever play *one* map.

All you'll get it people saying 'I hate this map'. Surely if you're a good DB team you can play well on any map? I think more maps should be used, but I can't see it happening...

Person1: "Fuck! We lost to AoV"
Person2: "Well..they are good u know"
Person1: "No no, they suck! We could have beat them and became 1st, but we just suck on november..really"

Meh..I guess if people want Cube only, it's all just even and team skill *only*

Just that the majority of the teams play just about the same way(which is not only unoriginal, but happens to be a boring style of play), so then again...yeh I kind of support this ;p altho not as extreme as cata suggested x_X

There should still be some freedom

Maybe just make it changeable, but auto-assign other maps, so that people can say "Aww what the heck, we'll have a fun match playing on lego, I can't be arsed changing it to cube"

well a long time ago , 1.6 some used to play tribun till some people Fucked it up completly and that was one map down and the gameplay of today doesnt fit november....

i say give us back tribun ffs

i see both sides, but making them play other maps could help prevent whoring as on maps like november you cant wall volley (obviously) and could result in less moaning

yet on the other hand more people could moan as the are forced on maps they dont like

Just thought about sth... its not really forcing ppl "not to play Cube" but...

What if there has to be two matches played in one round?

I mean... The home team can choose two maps to play... the maps have to be different... and then: 15 and 15 mins on each map... or 20-20 or dunno... maybe this would make the game longer, maybe it would make the fluence slower... but This is an idea, without real forcement, and without too much bitching O_o
