I heard that the Europe season 3 has ended yesterday.

I would like to know if NA season 3 ends too at that time, or we have a later date, and when is it.

ours aint ended, if it has then tons of games will be default draws, which would be shit

Few teams in Div 1 (if any, ok one!) take it seriously...

Some of the "bigger" (well known, loved/hated :p) clans such as AoV and DEUS cant be arsed with it cos its all 'lame'...

So yeah, it WAS supposed to be finished soon.. but i doubt it will be, n why?

Who cares why, everyone will blame DavidM for another sucktestical season of boringness... hmmm?

Well, I think no one would play AoV when they asked.

As for DEUS, yes we couldn't be bothered, but then we could be once we merged both teams then everyone went on holidays.

Anyhow, may as well try and finish of the season before starting a new one?

I agree with imo, however I doubt we can finish this season as noone ever wants to play us....hey why starting a new season anyway?

I hate to say it but DBL's 3 league format is starting to go tits up. Well it started a while ago but....... anyway.

Perhaps you should look at a succesful tournament-running site for some pointers. For example ClanBase. Thats been running all sorts of leagues/cups/tournaments for years. I know that there is already a Deathball league on ClanBase but having a 'working' league run by the makers of Deathball is far more appealing in my opinion. Plus it would keep the deathball comunity a comunity.

yeah I'd like to see a clanbase-based system...a shame the clanbase league has died imo their system rocks and all the clans are in 1 league...you can challenge someone whenever you like and if you play someone whos much higher ranked than you then you will loose less points or you will win more points than usual if u know what i mean...imo a clanbase-bases system would solve a lot of problems

i wouldnt say we cant be arsed, for a period of about 3 weeks regulary we had over 6 or 7 ppl on our irc channel wanting to play dbl games, we tried asking numerous teams to play, even had 3 or 4 set dates which didnt get played for various reasons.

That just started to get on peoples tits, mainly cos we all got better things to do than sit around on irc for a couple of hours hoping som1 would say yes to a game.

Tbh over last 2 week or so our irc has been very quiet as ive given up trying to sort wars out every night, im just gonna leave it up to other clans to ask me or anyone else in our clan for a game.

And so far i think only 1 clan has asked , 3dg|rr

Exactly. The word I was looking for was flexibility. The DBL as it is now isn't flexible at all. You MUST play between these dates and you MUST play these teams (who for the most part are not available for the set date/time).

With a more flexible league layout more teams could just decide they have enough players and find another team with enough players and just play then and there. Rather than waiting for the set date and time to come arround and find the team has dis-banded or are not online.

Most players are just not dedicated enough to play in such a rigid tournament (myself included). Sad, but true......

well i notice all of europe div3 is all finished with their games (maybe because there is only 4 teams

the idea of attempting to fit in 3 games a week was doomed from its inception
