I don't agree.
I've seen riddles that almost took ALL level ideas from notpron. Those are clones. And that is what this statement on the main page refers to.
And I've seen riddles with quite unique ideas, yours and Orio's included, those are not clones, but that's just my opinion I guess ...

Of course, but thats the same with the book "Dance, Dance, Dance"
You can call someone who read it or go to the next library and borrow it.

I agree that most riddles aren't clones of notpron, but saying "why bother with the riddles inspired by notpron, when you can play the original?" just doesn't sound right. And I take no offense in having my riddle being called a clone, even though it really isn't.

@snackbar: Oh yeah ... I never tried this because the first thing it told me was my browser wouldn't support status bar messages - which it does. Stupid browser sniffers ...

I played a little of it, up to level 34 or something. But its on my IE(as that one supports the messages) and I just forget about it. But I noticed several of the levels on there took all of 3 seconds because it as the exact same method or answer as notpron. Wondering which came first.

Well ....
to get back to the story.a clone is an EXACT copy of something. I agree that notpron is not an EXACT copy of thisisnotpron, but neither are so many of the other good riddle-games out there (for example "BeSmart") .... They turn and twist around the same game-engine (if you will) but they're not clones.
Maybe David is referring to some games out there who perhaps DID copy levels from notpron, i dont know - but i must say i think its a bit of an arrogant statement "why bother with clones".
He could simply have written "The original" or something like that ...
When that is said - it wasn't ment as a critisism of the game, which i loved playing .... (a bit of lack of story line though)
Keep up the good work !
