can you tell me more about it?
do you have it bound to the shoot key?
to you trigger it slightly before or afterwards?
is it immediately changing to the animation taunt then?
blah blah?

Then he's second guessing himself and shouldnt be playing games in the first place, he should gain some confidence then come back to gaming and be a winner.

I've only seen it with Maegrim, he used to have it bound together with a command to move into a direction to his buttons for walking.
<
Button>=<
Direction of movement|<
Taunt animation>
So it's triggered at the same time as the movement ;p
I haven't seen it with the shoot key, but I guess it works the same.
The animation is cancelled out by a next one afaik, so that could be another taunt anim, a jump, or whatever.

so does a taunt change the direction of the weapon with respect to observers then ? I have no problem with people thrusting their crotch at me (i love it) but if it means that thier player model is inaccuratly displaying the direction the player is aiming, and therefore the way the ball will be shot, then i offer it a warm cup of WTF

When you do the pelvic thrust I believe the model puts its hand upwards like a riding cowboy. Not sure if this happens whilst shooting.
