LMAO...the 40's is just like yesterday for some people, eh? Every 20 years, eh?

Yes, Europe has a LONG history of wars, but I believe we have learnt from them...have you? 0_o

Compered to America's "proud' 'history'

Was a colony (British, French, Spanish, Dutch, etc.), then had a war for independance, followed by a civil war, joined in on WWII at the last minute for brownie points, shall we talk about Vietnam and Korea?...then JFK, conspiricy, Watergate, more conspiricy, lies, more lies and manipulation...now Iraq...

WOW, what a proud 'history' (I put history in inverted commas cos the house I live in has more history than your country.

Thats just silly talk, cause it would mean all americans are actually europeans.....hrrrrrrrr.

Instead, americans were giving their own nationality.

Lot of things happend since then, and a lot more places were 'invented' by us.

I think you're confusing the word 'inventing' with 'invading' X_O

W...what?!

The last 'genocide' that happened was like 50 years ago.
Plus your history isn't much greater than ours.

I admit, we have our own problems, but some of your laws and ideas are just ridiculous and outdated. Examples:

- ideas on homosexuality (they're not allowed in the army, etc)

- ideas on abortion

- outdated laws (black girl can't marry white man, alabama), although i believe that was changed a few years ago.

- And yes, racism. (Florida 2000? Ku Klux Klan?)

(- On special request: The right to bear arms. It's stupid.)

Please don't tell us that we have problems.

If we're talking stupid laws, lets not forget the right to bear arms...

Never mentioned WWII but since you brought it up, I'll be more than happy to discuss it with you. Last minute for brownie points? Please explain to me how 4 years of WWII is last minute and do tell all the people that sacrificed their lives to help it was for brownie points, such class you show.

As for genocide, lets take have a little review of the 20th century. Turkish slaughter of Armenians before and during World War I, the enforced famine imposed by Stalin in the Ukraine in the 1930s and the Nazi Germany’s attempts to exterminate the Jews during World War 2. Lest we forget Slobodan Milosevic (Yugoslavia, 1992-96) or Francisco Franco (Spain). This is just the tip of the iceberg, seeing as you wonderful Europeans love your colonization of Africa yet don't care enough to stop the mass genocide that has been happening, examples Benito Mussolini (Ethiopia, 1936; Yugoslavia, WWII), Charles Taylor (Liberia, 1989-1996), Foday Sankoh (Sierra Leone, 1991-2000) and of course your favorite son Charles DeGaulle (Algeria, 1954-1962). There is plenty more out there so you might want to get your collective head out of your pompous rearends.

Now lets move to the Middle East. Mullah Omar - Taliban (Afghanistan, 1986-2001) 400,000 people killed. Saddam Hussein (Iran 1980-1990 and Kurdistan 1987-88) 600,000 killed countless others since 1990. All this while the closest powers to be (Europe) did little other than rob the Iraqi people of their money in scandels such as oil for food etc... Now that someone is in power willing to do something you guys hate him because, he is going to stop your profiteering of a helpless people.

Like I said, work out your own problems, have a look in the mirror and hopefully at some point we can find a middle ground that works.

We are talking about now, the present, the 21th century.

Yes we made mistakes in the past, if that is your point.

And while your debating society is talking about it, we have made the choice to act. History will be the judge.

Only when it is in the best interests of America. America would have done fuck all to the Taliban and Iraq had it not been for 9/11.

No we didn't, stop apologising for things *we* didn't do.

The people speaking here are from Britain, the Netherlands, Portugal, and other such countries that had little to nothing to do with this.

Europe is not a country.
It's a continent, and might I state that America is just a continent too :)
(Yet somehow it's correct to refer to the US as being America..but let's disregard that for now)
Onge wrote: Only when it is in the best interests of America. America would have done fuck all to the Taliban and Iraq had it not been for 9/11.

Since when does Iraq have anything to do with 9/11?
Ohh wait I get it..
..no wait I don't.

I wish Bush would finally explain this to us (and yes, that includes the American people, just because you're a patriot doesn't mean you don't need arguments to prove your country, or president for that matter, is right)

The 'war on terrorism'-argument is bullshit..when are they going to forget about Iraq before they're done there, as they did with Afghanistan, and go on to Korea or China or whatever new evil they can come up with.
